Covid-19 Infection Prevention & Control Policy

All of us have been affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic in one way or another, and I hope that you have all been safe and well during these unprecedented times.

I have missed being able to offer you the treatments that I know you love, and I am looking forward to seeing you all again as soon as possible.

As your therapist it is my priority to keep you all as safe as possible, and prior to reopening at The Inner Wisdom Wellbeing Centre and at B U Beauty we have implemented several changes which I would like to make you aware of.

During the time that my business has been temporarily closed I have completed the “Covid-19 infection prevention and control course” which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd. I have since made several changes on the way that I operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Booking Appointments

If I feel ill or have symptoms of Covid-19, I will be forced to self-isolate immediately this may mean I will have to cancel any appointments during this period at short notice. If your appointment is cancelled, you will be able to rebook when it is safe to do so.

If you or any of the people that you love with display any symptoms of Covid-19, please advise me as soon as possible and DO NOT attend your appointment. You will need to self-isolate following the current government guidelines. You will not be charged for any cancellations during a period of self-isolation.

24 hours prior to your appointment I will be contacting you to complete your consultation over the phone. I will then need to keep this information up to 3 weeks as it may be required for “Track and Trace” after which the information will be destroyed. A new form will be required before every treatment.

Some treatments may be unavailable during this time due to being “High Risk”.

Attending Your Appointment

  • Please arrive on time, do not arrive early as there is no waiting area and you may encounter other clients who are exiting the building.
  • Maintain Social Distancing guidelines where possible.
  • Please wear a facial mask/covering
  • You will be greeted at the door by myself with hand sanitiser which you will need to apply before and after any treatment. Please feel free to also provide your own if you prefer.
  • I will be following government guidelines with what PPE I need to wear; therefore I may be wearing a mask/visor/gloves/disposable apron.
  • Please feel free to bring a drink along with you as I can no longer provide refreshments during this time.
  • Payment for your treatment can be made by Card/Bank Transfer. Cash payments can also be made however can you please provide the correct amount and placed in a sealed envelope to reduce contact.

Cleaning

I will be increasing the frequency of cleaning of the treatment room, couch, door handles, handrails, toilets and all surfaces between each client. All tools and equipment will be disinfected. Disposable equipment will be used where possible.

A lot of the soft furnishings may have to be removed from the treatment room in order to prevent cross infection. E.g. cushions, blankets, Magazines, etc.
